Our Services

Tom Fogarty & Son Funeral Directors provides a complete funeral service for families in Tipperary Town and the surrounding areas. From the first call, we can guide you through the arrangements and look after the practical details involved in organising the funeral.
Every funeral is different, and we will work with you to arrange a funeral that reflects the wishes of the person who has died and their family.
Funeral Arrangements
We can assist with all aspects of arranging a funeral, including:
  • Burial and cremation arrangements
  • Liaising with churches, clergy, cemeteries and crematoria
  • Funeral notices, including online, newspaper and radio notices where required
  • Transport arrangements
  • Funeral service arrangements
  • Documentation associated with the funeral
  • Coordination with the various people and organisations involved

Care and Reposing

We provide professional care and preparation of the person who has died and can arrange reposing in our funeral home or at the family residence.

Our recently renovated funeral home in Tipperary Town can accommodate wakes and reposing, full funeral services and private family cremation and committal services.

Burial and Graveside Arrangements
For burial, we can assist with the practical arrangements required, including:
  • Arranging the purchase or opening of a grave
  • Liaising with cemeteries and local authorities
  • Preparation at the graveside
  • PA systems where required
  • Temporary grave crosses or markers
Cremation and Committal Services

We can make all necessary arrangements for cremation and liaise with the crematorium on behalf of the family.

Families can also choose to hold a private cremation or committal service in our funeral home in Tipperary Town. Both religious and non-religious services can be accommodated.

The funeral home has a dedicated curtain closing mechanism for committal services, allowing the ceremony to conclude privately in the funeral home and reducing the need for the family and other mourners to travel onwards to the crematorium.

Funeral Services and Music

We can assist with the arrangements for the funeral ceremony, including organists, soloists, pipers and other musicians where requested.

Livestreaming can also be arranged where the church or crematorium provides this facility.

Livestreaming from our funeral home is planned for the future but is not currently available.

Coffins and Caskets
We provide a range of coffins and caskets in different styles and finishes. Families can view the current range on our Coffins page.

Funeral Flowers
We work with established local florists who can provide funeral wreaths, sprays and other floral tributes, with arrangements for delivery to the funeral home or church.

Additional Arrangements
We can also assist with a range of other practical requirements, including:
  • Record of Attendance books for signing at the funeral home, family residence or church
  • A condolence book containing the online condolences offered to the family
  • Outside catering where required
  • Coordination of other funeral-related services and suppliers
Where a service is provided by another local business or professional, we can make the necessary arrangements on the family’s behalf.
